RAISING COMMUNITY AWARENESS

PRESENTING ON ISSUES OF DRUG MISUSE, ADDICTION AND PREVENTION

In order to raise awareness on this life threatening behavior, staff from the Huron County Prosecutor's Office will crisscross the county, speaking to church groups, social groups, PTA, law enforcement agencies, businesses, town and village meetings and discuss the issues on drug misuse, addiction and prevention.

Many in the public do not know or understand of the dangerous reach of the drug/opioid epidemic and what actions they can and should take to combat it. Communication and education are important components of any comprehensive effort to combat the spread of this scourge. It is time to raise awareness and start a conversation on drug misuse, abuse and addiction in our community

SPEAKING WITH GROUPS

BASED ON YOUR NEEDS

These presentations can happen wherever a group of people gather, at any time during the day.  Presentations can be for as little as 15-20 minutes to an hour depending on the need and the audience. It would be an interactive discussion on the issues of:

  • Drug use nationally and locally
  • Addiction issues and impact on the brain
  • What each person should know
  • Assorted drugs and their concerns
  • What steps to take for a safer and more proactive community
